One of the most immediately recognized and widely respected superstars in pop music, Celine Dion, will bring her Courage World Tour to New Orleans on Friday, February 7th. Be there when this living legend takes the stage at Smoothie King Center next week!
A star from a young age, Celine Dion had recorded nine French albums and won numerous awards by the time she was 18. She recorded her first English album, Unison, in 1990. Dion's real breakthrough into pop music stardom came in 1992 when she recorded the theme to Disney's hit animated feature Beauty and the Beast. She went on to record several hits, including four Number Ones: "The Power of Love," "Because You Loved Me," "My Heart Will Go On," and "I'm Your Angel."
Celine Dion has certainly earned a break. In the past year, this international superstar has featured all of her greatest hits at her Caesars Palace Las Vegas residency. The iconic singer recently ended her 16-year run in Las Vegas, but now she's back on the road and showing no signs of slowing down.
In support of her upcoming album, Courage, Dion’s 2020 Courage World Tour marks her first time touring in over a decade. The Courage World Tour has received many positive reviews. Billboard praised the song choices, the mix of older hits like "Beauty and the Beast" with Dion's new songs like "Courage," and the "extraordinary" encore: "My Heart Will Go On" and John Lennon's "Imagine.”
It also praised Dion's voice, her outfits and drones emulating stars, water, and even the Heart of the Ocean diamond during the "My Heart Will Go On" performance. Billboard called the two-hour-long concert stunning and showstopping. The Courage World Tour was also chosen as one of the best live shows of 2019 by Billboard.
