The Audubon Nature Institute Joins the Seasonal Fun with This Buzz-Worthy Event

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a . . . cricket? Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium welcome the whole family to a full day of holiday fun at Jingle Bugs since this celebration offers the perfect way to start the holiday season!

Enjoy various holiday activities, such as testing your knowledge of "winter bugs" with our Gumdrop Hunt! You can even see the bugs decked out in their festive attire. Visitors also can sample some deliciously hoppy holiday treats, such as Bug Nog, Peppermint Cricket Bark, and Fruit Fly Cake throughout the day.

And, don’t forget to join Santa Claus for a Buggy reading of a local favorite book, The Night Before Christmas, in Hall of Fame. Plus, get dazzled by a magician or have your face painted with a buggy or holiday design.

All holiday-themed activities are included with general admission or Audubon Membership. The venue hosting the event, the Audubon Nature Institute, is a 501(c)3 not for profit that operates a family of ten museums and parks dedicated to nature. We serve our visitors, our community, and our world as an educational resource, an environmental guardian, a leader in economic development, and a venue for family entertainment.
