This year, ESSENCE Music Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary with an extraordinary lineup of musicians, special guests, experiences and more. Presented by Coca-Cola, ESSENCE Festival is the largest celebration of African American music, beauty, health, entrepreneurship and more. Former First Lady Michelle Obama will headline the festival's commemorative 25th year.
The Essence Festival, known as "the party with a purpose", is an annual music festival which started in 1995 as a one-time event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Essence, a magazine aimed primarily towards African-American women.
ESSENCE Fest is known for hosting some of the best in hip-hop, R&B, soul, gospel, and funk to the mainstage and the super lounges throughout the Superdome. This year is no exception. The ESSENCE Festival 25th anniversary mainstage line-up features Miss Elliot, Mary J. Blige, NAS, H.E.R. Jermaine Dupri, Pharrell Williams, Teyana Taylor and many more!
Beyond the all-star music lineup, ESSENCE Festival is also known for its free panels, workshops and experiences hosted throughout the day. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, ESSENCE will revive its Beauty Carnival! From July 5th through 9th, seize the opportunity to learn from and meet some of your favorite beauty influencers and wellness experts.
Concert tickets can be purchased individually by day or by weekend passes. Begin your journey to ESSENCE by registering online at https://www.essence.com.
